This superb cottage is an ideal base from which to explore the Hope Valley, High Peak with Edale, the Pennine Way and caves of Castleton. The upper reaches of nearby Monsal and Millers Dale and the market towns of Bakewell and Buxton are only a short drive away. There is a wonderful and historic village pub close by, serving lovely food and beverages.

This Georgian mid terraced stone built cottage which dates back to 1790, is located towards the edge of Bakewell, 500 yds from the town centre.
The cottage enjoys an elevated position with far reaching views across the rooftops and church, in this market town in the heart of the Peak District National Park.
Accessed from a short lane, the cottage opens into a lounge with a stripped oak floor and Victorian fireplace, with a door off it to a well equipped kitchen with pine units and a dining area. The back door from the kitchen leads out to to a private patio area which enjoys the afternoon and early evening sun. To the front of the cottage is another flagged patio area which enjoys the early afternoon sun. |
